About this session

Two things working at once.
For the full 90 minutes.

Most people haven't taken a full, intentional breath in months. Not because they forgot how, but because life keeps moving and the body just follows along, tight and shallow and running on fumes.

On June 24th, Marty Bugbee of Metamorphose Breathwork is coming into the salt cave for a 90-minute session unlike anything we've hosted before. It's a small group, six people only, and the salt and the breathwork run at the same time from the first minute.

Halotherapy, also known as dry salt therapy, is the practice of breathing pharmaceutical-grade salt particles dispersed into an enclosed space by a commercial halogenerator. The particles are ground to 1 to 5 microns, fine enough to travel deep into the airways, where salt's natural antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and antimicrobial properties go to work. Sitting in the salt cave feels like sitting in very clean, still air. At Salinair, the halogenerator runs for the first 45 minutes while Marty guides the breathwork, so both are happening simultaneously from minute one. The salt particles continue circulating and settling for another 20 minutes after the generator stops, and the breathwork continues through the full 90. You are never just doing one thing in there.

How the 90 minutes works

Inside the salt cave

The halogenerator runs for the first 45 minutes, and the salt particles continue circulating and settling in the room for another 20 minutes after it stops. Marty guides you through the full 90 minutes of breathwork without interruption. The salt is still in the air. You are still breathing it. The two never stop working together.

Marty is one of those facilitators who makes you feel safe the moment he starts talking. His clients come in stressed, anxious, and physically wound tight, and they leave feeling like something in their body finally let go. He knows how to hold a space where that kind of release is possible, and he is bringing that into the salt cave.

The Power of Elemental Rhythm Techniques: A Science-Backed Approach to Wellness. Elemental Rhythm Techniques are an integrative practice combining breathwork, gentle movement, and meditation to enhance both mental and physical health. Grounded in scientific research, these practices are effective in managing symptoms of anxiety, depression, and PTSD. Studies show that these techniques also improve heart rate variability, a key indicator of resilience and overall well-being.

One of the core benefits of Elemental Rhythm Technique practices is their ability to regulate the nervous system, creating a calming effect that reduces the body's stress response. By activating the parasympathetic nervous system, breathwork helps lower cortisol levels and promotes feelings of relaxation and safety. In turn, this reduces the symptoms of stress-related conditions, making it a valuable tool for those struggling with chronic stress or trauma.

These methods also foster emotional balance and mental clarity. Practitioners often report an improved ability to focus, manage emotions, and stay present in their daily lives. Elemental Rhythm techniques work by using the breath to connect the body and mind, allowing individuals to release tension, stabilize their mood, and achieve deeper states of meditation.

The science behind this practice continues to evolve. Current research explores its applications in diverse fields, including trauma recovery, mental health, cardiovascular health, and immune function. With growing evidence, these techniques are proving to be a versatile, non-invasive way to support long-term wellness and resilience.

Video + waiver

Marty's method is specific, and the preparation changes the experience. After you register, you'll receive a 22-minute Zoom video to watch before the session. This is required for every first-time attendee, even if you've done breathwork before. You'll also complete a short waiver. Both take less than 30 minutes total and mean you walk in ready.

Real words from real sessions

From the start, the tone was set beautifully. Marty provided a thorough introduction that allowed me to settle in with complete ease and trust. I left the session feeling expanded, supported, and deeply grateful.

Nicole

Before my session I was experiencing high levels of stress and anxiety, and my body was in a state of fight or flight. After the session I felt emotionally regulated, and I felt a release in the tension in my body.
